Winter Teacher Training

an Exams Madrid Event

Following the success of our Autumn Teacher Training Event in November last year, we invite you all to join us for another inspiring morning of professional development. Our Winter Teacher Training Event will take place on Saturday 8 March and we are excited to welcome back two of our most popular presenters, Anne Robinson and Jim Fuller.

During the coffee break, staff from Exams Madrid will be available to speak to you individually and respond to any questions you may have. There will be a chance to browse through the latest materials on offer from Cambridge and to pick up some useful promotional materials for you and your school.

We look forward to seeing you in March and hope that you will be able to make the most of this valuable and motivating opportunity.

Autumn Teacher Training

Let’s be ambitious!

10:15 – 11:30

Sticking to known language they feel confident with may seem like a sensible approach to speaking and writing, especially in exam situations. However, the higher assessment bands require our students to demonstrate a range of more sophisticated lexis and grammar. As teachers, we also need to hear and see them using new language so that we can judge their progress and stay motivated ourselves! In this session, we’ll consider several areas, including complexity, sophistication, flexibility and control, applicable from level B1 upwards.

Autumn Teacher Training

Taskifying learning materials in exam preparation classes

12:15 – 13:30

This practical session will empower teachers to deepen their understanding of task-based language teaching (TBLT) and explore effective strategies to transform traditional exam-focused materials into engaging tasks. Participants will learn how to create meaningful opportunities for learners to simultaneously enhance their language proficiency and exam preparedness, ensuring a more dynamic and impactful learning experience.
