Checking and verifying results

Checking your Cambridge English results online

To receive your exam results as quickly as possible, register on the Results Service for Candidates website. This allows you to view your results as soon as they are released. Once your results are available, you will also receive an email notification.

You can register at any time after receiving your Confirmation of Entry from your exam centre—there’s no need to wait until after your exam.

To register, you will need the ID number and Secret number listed on your Confirmation of Entry.

If you haven’t received these details, please contact your exam centre for assistance. If you registered through your school or language academy, your Confirmation of Entry will be sent directly to them, and they will provide it to you.

When to expect your exam results
  • Results for paper-based exams are typically released around four to six weeks after the date of the exam.
  • Results for Digital tests are usually available within two weeks of the exam.

How to register on the Results Service for Candidates website

Before using the service, you will need to register and create a password. You can register for the site at any point when you receive your Confirmation of Entry from your exam centre; you do not need to wait until after the exam. You will need the ID number and Secret number shown on your Confirmation of Entry in order to register.

  • You must fill in the registration form on the Register page of the portal. After clicking Submit you will receive an email confirming your registration.
  • You can then log in using the ID Number from your Confirmation of Entry, and the Password that you chose during the registration process.

How to verify the candidate results?

Step 1 – Register to use the Results Verification Service
Go to https://verifier.cambridgeenglish.org/ and create your free account – it only takes 2 minutes.

Step 2 – Ask the student for their details
Make sure that you have the candidate’s ID number and Secret number. These are listed on their Confirmation of Entry.

If you don’t have a candidate’s details at the moment, you can practise with this example:
Candidate ID: NGG004291 Secret number: 5362

Step 3 – Log in to the Results Verification Service
To start verifying results, log in to www.cambridgeenglish.org/verifiers using your email address and the password you created earlier.

Step 4 – Verify the result
You can now see information about where and when the candidate took the test and what score they achieved.
