Miranda Hamilton
Exam Support Manager, Cambridge Assessment English
Miranda Hamilton has more than 20 years’ experience working as a teacher and teacher trainer in the UK and in Spain. She has a Masters and a PhD from the University of Cambridge. Her research interests are understanding the nature of the relationship between technology and learner autonomy, and Learning Oriented Assessment. Following her PhD, Miranda joined Cambridge Assessment English, working on the development of the theoretical framework for Learning Oriented Assessment (LOA). Miranda was instrumental in the instructional design to operationalise the LOA concept for Empower, a best-selling, multi-level general English coursebook for CUP and Cambridge Assessment English. She is currently working with a team of writers on the development of series teacher training and support materials for C1 Advanced. She now works as Exam Support Manager for Cambridge Assessment English.
