Linguaskill assesses English language ability from below B1 to C2 or above on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the Cambridge English Scale for each skill tested. The CEFR is the international benchmark for describing language ability and means that Linguaskill results can be compared to international standards.
An overall average Cambridge English Scale score and associated CEFR level will be provided if more than one skill is tested. There is also an explanation of what each score means in terms of English language ability so candidates are able to see where they have performed well, and where they may need to improve.

Both the Reading and Listening modules are adaptive. All questions are single marked and become easier or more difficult depending on an individual’s previous answer.
As a result, every candidate receives unique versions of the test tailored to their ability level. This means that the test offers a personalised experience and is suitable for candidates who are B1 and above.
For a more information on adaptive testing please see Linguaskill: The Science Behind the Test.
