Task-based language teaching (TBLT) is on everyone’s lips at the moment, but it can often be hard to find task-based materials that are appropriate to our contexts. In this workshop, we will look at the basics of TBLT, and identify a number of ways that you can bring tasks into your classes using the course book you have at hand. We’ll also have a specific focus on exam preparation classes, seeing how we can exploit our materials so that we not only create the grounds for acquisition, but also prepare learners as best as we can for their exams.
