Being able to say the same thing in different ways is a fundamental skill that not only enriches a speaker’s language but also allows them to communicate appropriately in different registers. It’s also a skill that students need both at B2 First and C1 Advanced levels, especially in speaking and writing, but also in tackling key word transformations. This session will look at how we can develop our learners’ ability to paraphrase their grammar and vocabulary, offering a range of practical activities that teachers can readily use in class.
