This essential skill can so easily be overlooked and not worked on enough in class and is really vital if our students are to be able to perform successfully in international settings. First of all, we must raise our own awareness as to why Spaniards so often struggle to understand spoken English and look at how we can help them improve in this area with relevant classroom practices and activities and also by encouraging them to develop their skills autonomously.
